Dr. James Todd is married to Jayne Todd, a Registered Dental Hygienist.  They have three children; Tim, a Psych Social Worker, Melissa, a Registered Dental Hygienist, and Carrie, also a Registered Dental Hygienist.  Both Dr. Todd and Jayne grew up in Zanesville Ohio, although if war breaks out again, they would have to side with the Confederacy, as the South has become home.

 

Dr. Todd was finishing his degree in music at Columbia Union College when through a series of events, he became interested in dentistry.  He attended Loma Linda University graduating in 1982.  He was awarded the American Academy of Oral Medicine Certificate of Merit for accomplishments in Oral Pathology and Medicine.

 

He has since been inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American College of Dentists, and the Georgia Academy of Dental Practice.  He served as President of the Northwestern District Dental Society, and was editor of the newsletter for six years.  He was voted Honorable Fellow of the Georgia Dental Association in 1993.

 

His interests are theater, where he was a founding member of the Artistic Civic Theater, music where he plays upright bass and sings in musical groups from Do-wop to Folk to Jazz and Bluegrass.  He has traveled extensively in Europe and is presently in the process of writing about his travels.  He also enjoys fishing.  Currently, he owns a farm and is learning the intricacies of operating chainsaws, tractors, nail guns and many other life-threatening devices on the farm.  Dr. Todd also enjoys cooking and fine dining.
